Monadnock State Park, NH.
Spent a night in Monadnock State Park, New Hampshire, and I had a 4 mile walk back and forth on those trails. Took me quite a while since my legs are no good for long walks anymore, but I even got high enough to get a wider view. It was a gray day though so not much of a view.
One thing I've found out is that it is hard to find places to get “a wider view” in the New York / New England area. The landscape here is too featureless and overgrown with trees, so on or near the main roads I can't see much beyond the first 100-200 yards in most places.
Still early in the season, and our RV looked pretty lonely on that parking space.
Ron had prepared breakfast while I was walking in those hills. Tasted just fine.
Otter Brook Dam, NH.
From the signs we could tell that there have been a couple of floods in that dam. The last one around 1980, I think.
