we need gas.
“No New York State taxes” sounds fine to me, but I don't know how much one can save on buying gas or other stuff in an indian reservation.
Gas prices in America don't really bother a Norwegian. They were less than 1/3 of our prices when I was there, and one has to be American to complain about them one year later.
Not too much traffic on the roads up here. Would you believe it: we still managed to get lost and drive in circles.

I may find everything related to farming more interesting than most, so I kept my eyes open on our way back from Lake Erie towards the Catskill Mountains.
Some old and obsolete equipment on display, and some animals, fields and farm-buildings. Many places along the smaller roads we travelled caught my attention, and I got some of what I saw onto my camera-chip.
and as if that wasn't enough.
Some farms had beef cattle, some had dairy cows and some had corn fields. Some may even run a mix of animals and corn, but I couldn't tell.
Good thing someone are keeping the land open, or else we wouldn't have seen much of it.
