...notes about notes, to self and others...

notes…

“Notes” are collected in order to avoid repetitions of basic facts all over the site. “Notes” may act as reminders for the @ author during an ongoing process of revisions and updates on site, and are shared with visitors in order to add some insight into same process.

Only those who are interested in site-related “notes” should read beyond this point.

updates…

We try to avoid having outdated material and information on this site. Keeping all information as relevant as possible is a vital part of site-maintenance.

Pages or chunks of information may be revised and updated at any time, and parts may be replaced and/or deleted. We don't maintain a change-log for such changes, but 'originating (place): date' and 'last revised: date' can be found at the bottom of main section in this form:

last rev: [day].[month].[year]

stub…

A “stub” is a (usually) short and incomplete piece of information on a subject.

Such a “stub” may in itself carry more questions than answers, and is often the initial state of an investigation into a subject. The intent is to expand on the piece—add real informational value to it—at a later date.

A “stub” may also be the reminder/leftover of a larger piece of information. In such cases a “stub” may actually contain all necessary information in compressed form, and may be expanded into its complete form by the reader without being given any additions by the @ author.

fact…

Something proven and found to be a reality may be seen as a “fact” at the time it is first presented as such.

Any and all “facts” may/should undergo continuous investigation and tests, and may end up being proven wrong and be replaced by new “facts” at a later date. There are in “fact” few pieces of human knowledge that can be regarded as everlasting “facts”.

theory…

A “theory” is not (yet) proven and can not be regarded as a “fact”.

A “theory” is often inserted because of lack of “facts” at any given time, and may as such be discarded at any time as part of a process where the end-goal is to establish “facts”. A “theory” may also end up as “fact” as a result of before mentioned process.

A “theory” may also wrongly be regarded as a “fact” by humans who don't know any better and/or are unable to see the distinction between “theories” and “facts”. This is a quite common mistake.

serious…

Taking something “serious” means that something is important enough to require thought and attention. What that something is is usually a decision taken by the person in question, or someone else impose their decision on him/her.

fun…

Having “fun” is a state of mind more than anything. Voluntary involvement in any activity, being it work or play, may induce such a (usually happy) state of mind.

end note…

More notes may be entered at any time.
