in the summertime…

…and this farm assistant has been taking it slow. Can't say that nothing happens around here, but the cows are on pasture and calling them in for milking twice a day doesn't make headlines. So this is nothing but a short note about “business as usual on the farm”.

The farmer will take time off for a few days at the end of the month, leaving me and the cows to “struggle” alone. That's how we handle vacations on this farm, so more “business as usual”.

fiber-optics are finally drawn on the maps…

I know nothing about dates and details – others are in charge, but with the maps drawn and agreed upon, with a bit of luck we will get that fiber-optic connection one day. Since I have been actively working to get a functional internet connection for three and a half year now, finally getting one will be good.

Even though neither most internet content nor most other services a fast connection carry these days are of much interest to me, such an upgrade of vital infrastructure will be the first sign of progress in any field in this municipality in twenty years. So, clearly I'm not the only one who takes it slow around here – must be something in the water.
