life on a farm…

For the last one and a half decade a small Norwegian dairy farm has been my home. My wife is the farmer and I am the farm-assistant, and together we take care of our small herd of cows and calves and live a mostly peaceful life in the countryside.

Farming in Norway has its own format and traditions, and the local landscape and animals are unique. Some of this is worth documenting and spreading across the web, so that's what this site-section is all about. Enjoy.

music as a hobby…

For as long as I can remember good music has enlightened my life, and from childhood onwards I learned to master a number of instruments – mainly for my own amusement.

For a number of years I put music altogether aside to focus on other matters. Time and life change, so in early 2009 I revitalized my interest in music and took up playing as a hobby again, focusing almost entirely on one type of instrument: the pedal steel guitar.

travel journals…

Releasing on-line travel journals gives me an excuse for combining my interest in writing, photography, web design, and of course also in traveling. Takes longer for me to prepare, build and release proper travel journals than to do the journeys, so a few drafts are waiting on completion on my hard disks.

For now my impressions and illustrations from a journey across the New York / New England area of the United States back in 2007 is on line. Enjoy, while I work on the next journal.

web design…

Web design is very much what you don't see – the structure, code and function behind the surface. These “hidden” parts is my preferred workspace and playground.

The site in its entirety is built and continuously modified and expanded on to test and demonstrate working (and some non-working) concepts, and this section is where I present my methods and views on web design/development.

our latest…

Where I from time to time write about things that happen or cross my mind that I want to share with friends and complete strangers. Organized as an illustrated diary or comment-free blog.

remarks…

This site contains more than a thousand pages as of this writing, so pardon me for not listing it all in one large Table of Content. A site search and a number of section- and sub-ToCs keeps it all within easy reach.
